I sometime wonder what is it in sufi-ism, its Kalam and music which binds me with an invisible thread and pull me towards an unexplored place, where I never been before. And every visit takes me to a level that can not be explained but felt.
Kafi is a form of classical sufi poetry that has its roots in Siraeki region of Sindh and Punjab. Many great Sufi poets have some great work in Kafi. Today I want to share Hazarat Sultan Bahauddins Kafi and a fused version brillaintly sunged by Pop Singer ALi Zafar (yeh! who would have belived) and Saii Tufail. This video clip is taken from Coke Studio. Rohail Hayaat and his team are doing a great favor to the younger generation and Pakistani Music through this programme.
Anywayz you enjoy the video:

In this world, man is a target of death, an easy prey to calamities, here every morsel and every draught is liable to choke one, here one never receives a favour until he loses another instead, here every additional day in one’s life is a day reduced from the total span of his existence, when death is the natural outcome of life, how can we expect immortality?
