What equipment should I bring on a Canadian Rockies photo tour?
Bring a camera you are comfortable operating, suitable lenses, spare batteries, memory cards and a sturdy tripod. Additional equipment depends on the subjects and conditions you expect to photograph. How much walking is involved?
Walking distances and terrain depend on the route. Some viewpoints are close to parking areas, while others require a walk over uneven ground. Snow and ice can make winter access more demanding. Wildlife may appear during our travels, and we may stop when it is safe and appropriate. Sightings cannot be guaranteed, and these are landscape photography tours rather than dedicated wildlife trips. We maintain a respectful distance and avoid disturbing the animals.
