Ammar Yasir - Landscape Photographer in Canada
About Me
I'm a Pakistani Canadian landscape photographer based in Calgary, Alberta, with a passion for photographing mountains, landscapes, deserts, night skies, and dramatic natural environments. I spent most of my life in Dubai, UAE, before moving to Canada, and my photography has taken me across Canada and internationally.
My landscape photography focuses on capturing the atmosphere, scale, light, and character of a place. I particularly enjoy photographing the Canadian Rockies, mountain landscapes, remote wilderness, deserts, sunrise, sunset, dramatic weather, and night photography.
Landscape Photography
My work takes me across Canada and international destinations, from the towering peaks, alpine lakes, valleys, and wilderness of the Canadian Rockies to the remote landscapes, deserts, and mountains of Pakistan and the Middle East.
I am especially drawn to landscape photography during sunrise and sunset, when changing light can transform a scene. I also photograph night skies, stars, and dramatic weather conditions to create atmospheric landscape images that go beyond simply documenting a location.
Photography Workshops & Tours
Alongside my own landscape photography, I lead landscape photography workshops, photography tours, and photography trips in Canada and internationally. These experiences are designed for photographers who want to photograph exceptional landscapes while developing their photography skills in real-world conditions.
My photography workshops and tours combine carefully selected locations with practical, hands-on instruction in composition, camera settings, exposure, natural light, sunrise and sunset photography, night photography, and the creative process behind a strong landscape photograph.
I organize photography tours in the Canadian Rockies and other destinations, offering photographers the opportunity to photograph mountains, alpine landscapes, lakes, valleys, waterfalls, deserts, remote wilderness, and night skies while learning from an experienced landscape photographer.
Whether you are an experienced photographer or looking to improve your landscape photography, my workshops and tours are designed to provide a relaxed, practical, and inspiring photography experience.
